Casa Bannatyne
Casa Bannatyne, Funvini's small residential home, was bought for us by Duncan Bannatyne and is home to nine boys at the moment.
Christmas Day 2010
The boys live in a family atmosphere, with two 'tías' or 'aunts' to look after them. They go to school and do all the things that other children do, including Scouting, which is very popular with them.
In the garden
Funvini aims to run Casa Bannatyne not as an Institution, but as a real family home. This is very important because these young people have been damaged both emotionally and psychologically and they need much patient, individual care.
Birthday celebration. One of the 'Tías', or aunts, looks on.
Of course boys are boys and just as in any family there are the normal problems, but the boys have become a real family and are doing well. Funvini would like to open a home for girls too. At the moment there is not the money to do this, but it is a plan for the future.
