Ross Kemp in Medellín

To get just a glimpse of the violence of life in Medellín, where our work is based, google 'Ross Kemp Medellín' and you will be directed to the programme 'Ross Kemp–Gangs' on Youtube. This was made in 2007 but it gives some idea of the background against which we work and the fate from which we are trying to rescue at least some of the city's children—but only 'some idea', because in the 4 years since the programme was made the situation has deteriorated and is, today, much worse. The more money we have, the more children we can help. We know that any children we have to abandon due to lack of money will be prime targets for these gangs to recruit and turn into young killers.
