Well, not continuously! But George McAleenan will have been undertaking his Annual Sponsored Walk for Let The Children Live! for 20 years when, on October 21st, he puts his best foot forward once again. You could say that George is a sort of Santa Claus because the money he raises allows us to buy Christmas presents for our children—-usually the only one they will get. This year we have the Venezuelan refugees to consider—more than a million have fled to Colombia and at least 60,000 of them have made their way to Medellín. Many of these are women and children, who are living in the streets and surviving as best they can. We hope to be able to help those who arrive on our doorstep, particularly at Christmas, so everything that George raises this year is going to be more important than ever. But imagine the excitement and happiness of a child who has nothing, when they are given a Christmas present——-courtesy of the Scottish Santa Claus!
The amounts George raises are always amazing and last year he almost hit £20,000! As this is his 20th anniversary maybe you can help him to get there this year! We are certainly going to need it!
