At Christmas each one of our children is given a Christmas present.
For most this is the only present they will receive so there is great excitement.
Each present usually has 3 parts: something to wear; something to eat and a toy or gadget of some sort. The children come to Casa Walsingham in groups of 30 or 40. First, they look at the crib and say the Christmas Novena which is traditional in Colombia.
Then the Christmas presents are given out. Each one is named and each child is called out to receive it from Fr Peter and have their photo taken.
Then they have their Christmas lunch
Some children save part of their lunch to take home to their younger brothers and sisters.
